Moment of Love

On a sultry afternoon

When the Indian summer

Came upon us

With its full force

I sat silently

With my head

REsted on his shoulder

And he listening to his debates.

In that moment

With the rising smoke of cigarettes

I felt our soul entwine.

I remembered all the moments

Of the year gone by

And like a streak of light

On a cloudy day

It dawned on me

This silence, this humidity

This stagnant little room

Is the source of happiness

And all the world to me.

And just like that

I discovered my moment of love.
